Vita

The Beginning (1980)

Alexandra was born and bred in the rustique outskirts of Bavarias picturesque capital Munich, where she started talking, walking, making friends and at an early age developped a very curious streak about all the things that happened outside her head and parents home. Before enrolling at the local primary school, she realised that she’d have to find a more efficient way to gather information. So she took up reading.

The Teens (1990 – 1998)

At 14, she discovered the language english, could suddenly understand Bowies lyrics and was lost to social activities and travelling. Incapable teachers and a strong mathematic impotence ended in a move to Blundell’s, an english boarding school, where she enhanced her love for reading, writing and art. Even the bright red jacket and plated skirt cum stripey buttoned shirt didn’t affect her emotional stability too much. Due to a rather dramatic approach to love, she also acquired a fine sense for poetry – numerous late nights were spent producing heart-wrenching lines and rhymes and the thesaurus tought her some valuable lingo that she was to use extensively in her later career.

Eductational Refinement (1999 – 2004)

After finishing school she was therefore inclined to use that artistic need to express her utmost inner self for studying art.  Her pursiut of creative happiness led her to Parson’s Paris, where she inhaled art, fashion and photography. She tought herself the most important graphic tools, ran around Paris taking millions of pictures with a Nikon FM2 and fell in love with Robbins, Murakami, Hesse, Kerouac and Miller.

Traveling (2004 – 2006)

After dropping out of fashion school, she realised that she needed to follow the path of truth and after a short spell in Munich, AvQ enrolled at an advertising school in Vienna, where she spent two years trying to resist the urge to run away from advertising and the matching scene because it never really made sense in any sort of way. It stll doesn’t.

But before she finally settled down in Vienna, she still had to throw in a healthy amount of physical as well as mental movement, travelled through India, fell in love with Sydney for a year and indulged in the seaside lifetsyle. There she attempted to start her own fashion label, did styling for rockbands (inhouse) and took more pictures. That life was due to expire and after a year, and she was ready to settle for something more sustainable.

Now (2006-

Since Alexandras path was not only curvy, but also tought her a colourful rainbow of different skills, she always felt a strong urge to combine as many of them in one single job. It proved difficult. After her return from Sydney, she did not see herself apt for corporate life and therefore stuck with the music, building a digital distribution service. That led her to the only medium, that somehwat reflected her approach to life – the internet. Fast, archaic, everywhere, multi-lingual, free, rebellious, big, it seemed like the perfect instrument to work with. She fell in love.
